H2 drive access fails

Hi

I having problems accessing the H2 watch drive (storage) I getting USB device not recognised message, is there a driver to read the watch drive?
I have developer section is turn on and also USB debugging is turned on but there is no SIM inserted.

turn off the usb debugging and make sure usb mtp are installed? have you also installed drivers?

Hi Sonia,

I didn’t know there was USB MTB driver I thought it was a setting on the watch but I don’t see it, as for the drivers I don’t have them or where they found.

hold on going to try again failed at first.

Hi Sonia,

Nope nothing I followed your video still no H2 watch drive, my device manager message “Unknowed USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)”, maybe I am using a different Win 10, my win system is “Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview”, I going to try my laptop and see if it works there.

Laptop is running Win 7 this also shows device unknown, tried the video above also failed and the drivers VCOM didn’t help, maybe this new firmware can’t access the device anymore.

no, i think the cable you have is not data cable, do you have spare? does it charge the watch?

Its does charge its an original cable has 4 small pins and it doesn’t look like a small USB, I don’t know about this cable if it works like a data cable but it charges, look like exactly like Finow Q7 Plus Watch cable but it doesn’t have the 2 magnetized pins. I don’t have any problems with Q7 connecting to my PC it works fine, you already show me how to connect and copy.

I did follow your instructions, as for the Q7 Plus watch the cable don’t fit on H2 watch, the pins are spread apart and also has a small little thing in middle to clip on to the watch, H2 watch connector is smaller has 2 magnets next to the pins. As I said before the Q7 Plus worked on my PC but its not working on H2 still getting notice that is malfunction and unrecognised device, could it be the H2 firmware version?

that does’nt say anything:) the q7 cable works but does’nt mean that the H2 cable should work, mine did’nt and i used the kw99 cable to connect the watch to pc. you have done the instructions for installing drivers and usb mtp so that means the problem should be with the cable itself.

Maybe it’s the watch itself like the contacts or something loose inside, I tested the cable with my multimeter contacts works ok, I tried on my laptop (Win 7) the results are the same, anyway I don’t have any other cable to test it.

Anyway about your video above what was happening the “USB MTP” wasn’t showing up on my last window it still shows “Unknown Device”.
The VCOM driver was useless.

vcom drivers are not useless cos without them you can’t use any mtk devices. testing the cable does’nt mean that for data it is working you can’t check this, if the watch charges then the problem is’nt with the watch itself but the cable most likely, to know if it software you need to be sure first that the cable works you can’t flash the watch without it. installing usb mtp wo’nt work as you can’t be sure about the cable.

no need for new watch:) the problem is to be sure that the seller you are going to buy from is good and that the cable you'll buy be working for charging and data,i think this store is manufecturer for parts for our watches they are not CHEAP but honestly i think they are the best option, try to get a better price from them and say it is for a large community and if they give you good price you'll recommend them on this site.

you can get on microwear store on aliexpress but also other stores the problem is it is'nt that cheap if you look for kw88 cable you'll find cheaper but be sure to ask if it is both charging and data cable.

Oh ok. I bought it on eBay and it looks like the seller doesn’t know much about the cable, cable looks the same or won’t be bother to test it, he still hasn’t replied to me about the cable won’t work on the PC.

Hi, I have the same problem, Did you find a solution? it is not the cable because it recognizes the usb connection. Followed the vids etc but to no avail. I had an H1 the drivers were working OK with that, (6572) this is 6580?
